The amazing journey of Swift since its introduction at Apple's developer conference WWDC 2014 has motivated Apple to continuously enhance the platform. Well, WWDC 2015 witnessed the introduction of Swift 2.0 and the announcement that it will be an open source by the end of the year.

Apple has thus won the developer heart once again!

Active Tasks-The third module in Apple ResearchKit

In my blogs over last few weeks,I took a high level look at what is included under the hood in newly introduced Apple ResearchKit.I also touched upon functional details on two of the three out of box modules provided in the ResearchKit software framework – Surveys and Informed Consent.Today we will look in depth at the third module – Active Tasks.As I did for the two modules before, I will touch upon the functional feature set of the ‘Active Tasks’ module rather than many technical details.You can get into more implementation level details here.

Steve is the GM Sales for North Eastern US at a leading software company. He has just got off the phone with his VP Sales – his face still red with embarrassment. Steve had thought he had the forecast under control – the deals in the CRM added well, the sales team was upbeat – and as per the latest billing statement that he got last Friday, 30% of the forecasted opportunities had got billed by the middle of the quarter – which, going by experience, was good going. In most quarters, only around 25% of the target was achieved by the middle of the quarter.
